Post sketch: after some cookies, a nap and an unsettling episode of sleep paralysis, I sketched these images confused about what happens between the sleep and waking states. Last night I read some nin diaries and found this entry particularly interesting:

It gives the buyer fishing and winter sports rights near the site her purchased. A brochure describing the wonders of the moon as they are at present envisioned by the developer of the area. The brochure waxes enthusiastic in the time honored manner of real estate promoters. A map shows the purchaser how he can see his land through a powerful telescope.’

I usually refrain from making pieces like this, I’m not really sure why. But dammit, I needed a reminder and so do you. Find ways to nurture yourself this week, remember rest and play. Try sitting by a river at sunset feel how it calms you.
